The Al Nassr captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, gave his view on the battle for the Premier League title, immediately ruling Manchester United out of the race. A guest on the show “Piers Morgan Uncensored”, the former Red Devil said his old club no longer has what it takes to aim for the crown this season. “It’s not possible for Manchester United, they’re already too far behind on points“, the Portuguese concluded, clear-eyed about Ruben Amorim’s side’s situation after ten league matches.
Ronaldo, however, sees Arsenal as a serious title contender. “Yes, it’s possible for them”, he said, praising the consistency and quality of play the Gunners have shown since the start of the season. And the numbers back him up: Arsenal currently leads the Premier League with 25 points, six clear of Manchester City and seven ahead of Liverpool, the reigning champions.
Meanwhile, Manchester United sit only in eighth place with 17 points, already adrift in the race for the top. A bitter observation for Ronaldo, but one that confirms the rise of Mikel Arteta’s collective, now seen as the logical favorite to lift the title.
