The Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, says Nigeria has what it takes to secure qualification for the World Cup, on the eve of a decisive clash against DR Congo.
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen once again stressed the importance for the Super Eagles of clinching their ticket to the 2026 World Cup, reports Daily Post. Defeated during qualifying for the 2022 edition in Qatar, the Nigerians hope this time to reach the finals via the playoffs, after missing out on direct qualification.
On Thursday, the side coached by Éric Chelle comprehensively beat Gabon (4-1) in the playoff semi-final. They will face the Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday in Rabat for a place at the World Cup. Confident, Osimhen says the team has the resources to reach its goal.
” We can do it”, he told ESPN. “We have the squad to make this dream of going to the World Cup a reality. Everyone wants to be there.” See you tomorrow night for the verdict.
