Niger: over 200 terrorists neutralized in November, army says
The Nigerien Defense and Security Forces announced on Thursday that they had “neutralized” 205 terrorists and arrested 136 people involved in terrorist acts or criminal networks operating on national territory during the month of November.

According to the army’s monthly bulletin broadcast on the public channel Télé-Sahel, operations combining air and ground forces also made it possible to seize 26 weapons of various calibres, 16 magazines, 27,798 cartridges, 2,055 sticks of dynamite, 72,056 detonators, 827 kilograms of cannabis, 16 packets of cocaine and 12 kilograms of heroin.
In addition, 57,897 litres of smuggled fuel, 1.6 million tablets and capsules, and 24 improvised explosive devices were all destroyed. The army said that, during the same period, five civilians unfortunately lost their lives as a result of these explosive devices.
