A military aircraft crashed on Wednesday near Aoulef, in the Adrar wilaya in southern Algeria, killing a pilot, the Algerian Ministry of Defense announced in a press release.

A military aircraft crashed on Wednesday near Aoulef, in the Adrar wilaya in southern Algeria, killing a pilot, the Algerian Ministry of Defense announced in a press release.
Following the accident, the Algerian Army launched an investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of the tragedy.
According to local media reports, the incident occurred shortly after a Su-30 took off from the Reggane air base in Adrar. The second crew member ejected safely.
