The Brazilian had initially set salary demands higher than the Madrid proposal, but negotiations gradually progressed to a decisive meeting held on Wednesday. An agreement was finally reached concerning an annual compensation of 24 million euros.

Moments after the official announcement, Vinicius Junior took to social media to express his joy. The Brazilian shared the Real Madrid statement with a particularly evocative message: “Eight years at the Bernabéu is far too short… Six more years and forever.” This statement reflects the player’s attachment to the club where he has been playing since 2018.
