The Super Eagles’ midfielder, Alex Iwobi, was targeted in a home burglary, losing items valued at around £500,000. According to Daily Sports, the player was threatened with a knife by his attackers.
Among the stolen items were wristwatches, jewelry, two iPhones, a MacBook—and about £200,000 in cash that the Nigerian had on him. Authorities have immediately opened an investigation to track down the culprits.
Iwobi, who had taken the field with Fulham during the 3-1 win over Burnley in the Premier League last weekend, sees his private life violently upended.
