Inter Miami: Lionel Messi reaches the 900-goal milestone in his career
By scoring against Nashville SC, Lionel Messi reached the symbolic 900-goal milestone in his career, joining Cristiano Ronaldo in a very exclusive circle.

A new milestone for a living legend. Lionel Messi has once again written history by surpassing the 900-goal mark in his career, on Wednesday, during Inter Miami CF’s 1-1 draw with Nashville SC (1-1), in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
The Miami captain did not waste time making his mark. From the opening minutes, the Argentine recovered the ball before cutting back into the center to unleash a curling shot, opening the scoring for his side. A goal of great significance, as it allows him to reach the mythical 900-goal milestone. But this individual performance was not enough. The Floridians were later equalized by Cristian Espinoza and were eliminated from the competition at this stage.
A very exclusive circle
With this new milestone, Messi becomes the second player in history to reach such a mark, behind Cristiano Ronaldo, who had crossed this threshold before him. The Argentine reached this total in 1,142 appearances, compared to 1,236 for his Portuguese rival, confirming an exceptional goalscoring record throughout his career. Behind this extraordinary duo, Pelé completes the historic podium with 765 goals.
