Houègbo toll: two extra lanes for light vehicles starting January 2026

The modernization of the road network continues in Benin with a new announcement from the Société des Infrastructures Routières et de l’Aménagement du Territoire.

SIRAT SA announces that from 5 January 2026, two additional lanes will be opened at the Houègbo toll station on the Allada–Bohicon axis, exclusively reserved for light vehicles.

This commissioning responds to the need to improve traffic flow on this major stretch, which regularly faces heavy traffic. The decision aligns with the provisions of Order No. 032 of 29 June 2018, which sets out the rules for collecting passage fees and the rates applicable according to vehicle categories.
