Pep Guardiola heaped praise on Erling Haaland after Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Sunday in the Premier League. The Norwegian striker, who scored a brace, once again impressed his coach, who did not hesitate to compare him to the two icons of modern football.
« We played very well, of course. Once again, Erling [Haaland] was decisive », Guardiola said after the match. « It’s a bit like when you have [Lionel] Messi or Cristiano [Ronaldo] in your team, their influence is huge. » And the Catalan coach added: « Has he reached that level?
