Kendrick Lamar swept the rap categories at the 68th Grammy Awards, held on Sunday, by taking all the major awards in his lane. A total domination that further cements his status as a hip-hop icon.

His album GNX was crowned Best Rap Album, while TV Off, his collaboration with Lefty Gunplay, won the Best Rap Song trophy. The Compton rapper also shone with Luther, his duo with SZA, awarded the Best Melodic Rap Performance, while Chains & Whips, in collaboration with Clipse, took home the Best Rap Performance award.

With this exceptional haul, Kendrick Lamar raises his total to 27 Grammy Awards, surpassing Jay-Z (25) to become the most awarded rapper in the ceremony’s history. The night was also highlighted by Olivia Dean’s win as Best New Artist in 2026, in a highly competitive field that included Leon Thomas, KATSEYE, Addison Rae and Lola Young. A success that extends a remarkable streak: since 2017, only women have won this prize.

Another big moment, Billie Eilish picked up for the first time in her career the Song of the Year Grammy thanks to Wildflower, a milestone long awaited for the American artist. The story also played out on the Latin music side. The Bad Bunny album Debí Tirar Más Fotos became the first Spanish-language album to win the prestigious Grammy of Album of the Year, a major step toward the global recognition of Hispanic music.

Finally, Pharrell Williams received the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, praising his lasting influence on musical and creative culture. Noting that Beyoncé remains the most awarded artist in the history of the Grammy Awards, with a record total of 35 awards.
