The list of teams eliminated from the Europa League is now known. At the end of the group stage, wrapped up on Thursday night, twelve clubs have officially left the competition. These are Young Boys, Sturm Graz, FCSB, Go Ahead Eagles, Feyenoord, FC Basel and RB Salzburg. Joining these clubs are Maccabi Tel Aviv, Malmö, Utrecht, OGC Nice and Rangers.
Notably, the Young Boys saw their European adventure come to a close in a narrow fashion, edged by Brann in the race for the last qualifying place for the knockout play-offs, due to an unfavorable goal difference. These clubs all finished between 25th and 36th in the overall standings. In keeping with the competition’s new format, they will not be transferred to another European competition.
