Europa League: Olaïtan, 2 assists in six matches, takes on Marseille

The 24-year-old, who wears the number 15 for Beşiktaş, has accumulated 450 minutes in the Europa League prior to this opening match of the league phase. He has yet to score in the competition, but his two assists already represent a direct contribution to the Turkish club’s European campaign.

Olaïtan is also heavily utilized in the domestic league. Opta records five appearances in the Süper Lig this season, four of which were as a starter, totaling 376 minutes and two assists. He played the full match in Beşiktaş’s 3-0 victory over Erzurumspor on September 11.

Beşiktaş and Marseille will begin their league phase this Thursday at the Tüpraş Stadyumu. UEFA has scheduled this fixture as part of the opening day’s matches, with kick-off set for 9:00 pm Central European Time.

The Cheetah permanently joined Beşiktaş in February 2026 after his stint at Göztepe. His arrival at the Istanbul clubhas bolstered the Beninese presence in a league where he quickly established himself in the rotation.

After facing Marseille, Beşiktaş will continue its European campaign on October 15 against Hoffenheim, before hosting Crystal Palace on October 22, according to the schedule released by UEFA.
