Drama in Dèkoungbé: a young man arrested for the murder and decapitation of his father

The events reported by Fraternité fm began in the night from Thursday to Friday, around 4 a.m., when law enforcement apprehended the suspect in the Agla Akansôdji neighborhood. According to the initial findings of the investigation, the individual allegedly claimed to be looking for a buyer for his father’s head.

Escorted to his family home located behind the Dèkoungbé primary school, the suspect initially indicated a location before retracting.

Discovery of the victim’s remains

During a new search conducted on Friday, August 7, 2026, investigators made grim discoveries. The right foot of a human body was first spotted in a low area just behind the family room, leading to the location of the rest of the corpse. The victim’s head was found hidden under a table in the yard, wrapped in a black tracksuit and placed inside a shopping bag.

Examinations conducted on the remains of the corpse revealed several machete strike impacts.
