Diplomacy: President Tiani soon on an official visit to Benin
The President of the Republic of Benin, Romuald Wadagni, has extended an official invitation to his Nigerien counterpart for a state visit to Cotonou.

According to a joint statement released in Niamey on May 2, 2026, the Head of State of Niger has accepted this invitation with gratitude.
The date of this visit will be determined later through diplomatic channels, the authorities of both countries specify.
