Diplomacy: meeting between Diomaye Faye and Mariam Chabi Talata in Dakar
Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye received Mariam Chabi Talata Zimé Yarou on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

The Vice‑President of Benin, also Grand Chancellor of the national orders and president of the Conference of Francophone Chancellors, was on a mission in Dakar.
The meeting focused on preparations for the next session of the Conference, scheduled for 2026 in Equatorial Guinea. The two officials reviewed the progress of the work and the issues related to organizing this event.
The talks also addressed ways to strengthen cooperation among Francophone chanceries. The discussions emphasized the promotion of republican values and the role of honorary distinctions in institutional life.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to consolidating ties among the member countries of the Francophone community.
