UFOA-B U17 Cup (F): Benin Drawn with Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso

The U17 Amazons now know their opponents. Benin has been placed in Group A of the second edition of the UFOA-B U17 women’s Cup, alongside Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso, the host country of the draw. The competition draw took place on Thursday, September 3, 2026, in Ouagadougou, in the press room of the 4-August stadium. Seven teams will participate in this second edition, divided into two groups of three and four teams.

In Group A, Benin will face Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso. A group of three that already promises an intense battle to secure one of the qualifying spots for the next stage of the competition. Group B, on the other hand, brings together Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, and Niger. The matches in this group also promise to be highly competitive among several well-known nations from the West African zone.

The competition will be held from September 15 to 28, 2026, in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast. The Amazons will be eager to do better than in the first edition, held in 2024 in Ghana, where they won the bronze medal. Now set on their schedule, the Beninese team led by Idah Azonsou will have to quickly prepare to take on this new regional challenge. The goal will be clear: to build on the experience gained in 2024 to aim this time for a top spot.
