Cotonou: motorcycle taxi drivers invited to collect their taxi rights cards.
In an official statement released on Monday, August 17, 2026, the Executive Secretary of the Cotonou City Hall, Anges Amoussouga, informs motorcycle taxi drivers and owners about the availability of taxi rights cards.

This provision specifically concerns users who have paid their municipal fees and taxes no later than June 30, 2026. The municipal authority thus invites the affected taxpayers to collect their official title at the usual locations for submitting their documents.
To facilitate the operation, the issuance of cards will take place every working day, following specific time slots set from 8 AM to 12 PM in the morning, and then from 2 PM to 5 PM in the afternoon.
It should be noted that the taxi rights card is the document that allows motorcycle taxi drivers to exercise their activity legally and to be in good standing financially with the local authorities in their area of operation.
