Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid will have to get by without several key players in their Club World Cup 2025 semi-final, scheduled for this Wednesday evening.
Three players will be missing: Dean Huijsen (Real Madrid), as well as Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez (PSG). On the Parisian side, Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez both received a red card during the win over Bayern Munich in the previous round.
The FIFA disciplinary committee confirmed on Tuesday that the two defenders are suspended for two matches. Consequently, they will not play again in this tournament.
On the Real Madrid side, the young Dean Huijsen was also expelled after a dangerous tackle on Serhou Guirassy in the added time of the quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund (3-2 win). He received a one match suspension and will therefore miss the semi-final.
The winner of this prestigious match between PSG and Real will meet Chelsea in the final. The Blues qualified after their success against Fluminense.
