CAN 2025: ‘We were patient until the end,’ Sadio Mané after Senegal 1-0 Egypt
Sadio Mané reacted to Senegal’s qualification for the final of AFCON 2025, their 1-0 win over Egypt this Wednesday evening. And the captain of the Teranga Lions said that his side were rewarded by the patience they showed throughout the match.

“From the start, we understood that we had to be patient until the end. We knew it would be a tough match, so we prepared for it. We defended well, we avoided mistakes throughout the match and we won, so I think that’s the most important thing.”, said Sadio Mané in remarks relayed by Africatopsports.
Now in the final, the Teranga Lions will try to claim their second continental title next Sunday against the winner of the other semi-final between Morocco and Nigeria. The two teams will face off this Wednesday evening at 9 p.m. (GMT+1).
