Facing the Palancas Negras on Tuesday, the South Africans prevailed 2-1. In a very lively encounter, the Bafana Bafana opened the scoring with a crisp shot from Oswin Appollis at the near post (21st minute).
Surprised, the Angolans reacted a few minutes later, with the equalizer scored by Show (35th minute). It took until the last 15 minutes of the game to determine the winner of this match. The winner, South Africa, sealed the victory with a strike from the veteran Lyle Foster (79th minute). Note that the final match of Tuesday’s schedule will pit Egypt against Zimbabwe.
