Former Ghana and Togo head coach Claude Le Roy believes the Atlas Lions and the Super Eagles will go into the competition with a clear advantage over their rivals.
Former Ghana head coach Claude Le Roy gave his predictions about the favorites for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which will start this month and conclude in January.
As a guest on Canal+, the French coach said Morocco, the host nation, and Nigeria have a head start in the race for the title.
As a reminder, Ivory Coast enters this edition as the reigning champion, after their 2-1 win in the final against the Super Eagles in the last AFCON, which they won at home.
“Nigeria is still one of the favorites for AFCON, just behind Morocco”, he said. Nigeria will start its campaign against Tanzania, while Morocco will open “its” competition against Comoros.
