Burkina Faso ultimately did not fall into Equatorial Guinea’s trap. The Stallions defeated Nzalang Nacional this Wednesday, as part of the opening matchday of Group E at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. In a very lively match, the Burkinabè prevailed 2-1.
Surprised by an Equatoguinean side, reduced to ten, which opened the scoring five minutes from the end with a strike by Marvin Anieboh, Burkina Faso turned the game around in stoppage time.
