CAN 2025: Benin tames Botswana and bounces back
With a goal from Yohan Roche in the first half, Benin edged Botswana (1-0) this Saturday in the group stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. A precious victory that allows the Leopards to bounce back in Group D.

Benin collected its first three points at the 2025 CAN after defeating Botswana this Saturday. Against the Warriors in a match counting for the second day of Group D, the Leopards prevailed 1-0. The only goal of the game was scored in the first half on a solo effort by Yohan Roche.
With this precious win, the Beninese are level with Senegal and the DR Congo, who are set to meet later in the other big clash of this group. On their side, Benin will look to reach the knockout stage on the third matchday against the Teranga Lions.
