In a press conference on Monday, December 29, 2025, Gernot Rohr confirmed Sessi D’Almeida’s withdrawal for the last day of the group stage of CAN 2025. « Sessi D’Almeida is injured and will be unavailable tomorrow », said Gernot Rohr to the media.
Physically affected, the midfielder will not be able to hold his place for this clash against the Lions of Teranga. A major blow for the Cheetahs, as D’Almeida has established himself as a key figure in Benin’s midfield, ensuring the balance between defensive discipline and forward projection.
