Cairo 2026: University of Parakou falls 70-66 in basketball and 3-1 in volleyball
The University of Parakou suffered two defeats in the latest results from the African University Games Cairo 2026. The women’s basketball team lost 70-66 to Misr International University, while the men’s volleyball team was defeated 3 sets to 1 by Ain Shams University.

In women’s basketball, the Beninese team fell short by four points at the end of their match against Misr International. The score of 70-66 was announced on Monday, September 14, among the results of the university competition held in the Egyptian capital.
On the same day, results from the men’s volleyball tournament indicated a defeat for Parakou against Ain Shams. The Egyptian university triumphed 3-1 over the Beninese delegation.
Parakou’s participation was also highlighted by a victory in men’s basketball. On September 11, the Beninese team had dominated Higher Education with a score of 87-53, one of the results recorded during the first part of the tournament.
The 12th edition of the African University Games is taking place in Cairo from September 8 to 16, 2026.
