Blending tradition and modernity, the CAF unveiled “ITRI”, the official ball of AFCON 2025, inspired by Moroccan craftsmanship and a symbol of African unity.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) presented on Monday the official ball of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, named ITRI. Inspired by zellige, a traditional Moroccan art form centuries old, this ball also pays tribute to the green star featured on Morocco’s flag.
According to the CAF, ITRI will make its debut at the competition’s opening match, scheduled for Sunday, December 21, 2025. Morocco, host country of this 35th edition, will kick off against the Comoros. A symbol of culture and innovation, the ITRI ball is intended both as a nod to Moroccan identity and as an emblem of the pan-African spirit that AFCON aims to celebrate.
