Jake Paul was evacuated to a Miami hospital after his sixth-round defeat to Anthony Joshua due to a suspected jaw fracture. Facing the former heavyweight champion, the YouTuber-turned-professional boxer held his own but ultimately gave way to the Briton’s markedly superior power and size.
At 28, Paul showed real fighting spirit throughout the bout, trying to match the intensity and courage of his rival. After the fight, however, he expressed concerns about a possible serious jaw injury. Those worries were confirmed by his promoter, Nakisa Bidarian, who said a thorough medical examination was underway, with recovery estimated at four to six weeks.
Despite this notable setback, Jake Paul tried to be reassuring and resolutely optimistic. « I feel fine. It was a tough fight, but I love this sport », he said, also sharing images on social media that illustrated the roughness of the ordeal.
The former light-heavyweight contender said he would take time to rest before returning to the ring, still aiming for the same goal: to go after a world title in his division. Acknowledging his opponent’s superiority, Paul also admitted that fatigue played a major role in the fight’s outcome, while promising to come back stronger.
