Having arrived in August 2025, the Nigerian coach Usman Abdallah was dismissed by the USCN Cavaliers after only six months, amid disappointing league results.
The Benin-based club USCN Cavaliers has ended its collaboration with its Nigerian coach Usman Abdallah, according to reports by the Daily Post. Having arrived in August 2025, the 45-year-old coach had spent only six months on the Cavaliers’ bench. A decision that comes as the club is going through a difficult period on the sporting front, currently sitting 16th in the National Championship.
Former Enyimba coach, Abdallah had built a solid reputation across the continent. He had led the Nigerian club to the NPFL championship title in the 2018-2019 season, before taking it to the CAF Champions League group stage the following year. His departure marks a new turning point for the USCN Cavaliers, now in search of a successor capable of turning things around and keeping the club among the elite.
