Benin: The police seize psychotropic products and ammunition on the Parakou–N’Dali axis.
The services of the Benin Customs have dealt a significant blow to illicit trafficking in the Borgou department. An operation carried out on the Parakou–N’Dali route led to the interception of a large shipment of prohibited substances and ammunition.

Conducted under the supervision of Rodrigue Alofa, a Customs colonel, the intervention resulted in the seizure of 304.7 kilograms of psychotropic products as well as 625 hunting cartridges.
The goods, hidden in a vehicle traveling on this strategic route, were intended to supply illegal distribution networks, according to security sources.
The operation also resulted in the arrest of two individuals, presumed to be involved in this trafficking.
Placed in custody, the suspects will soon be presented to the Prosecutor and will have to answer for their actions in the context of the judicial procedure that will be initiated. Authorities indicate that investigations are ongoing to identify potential accomplices and trace the network.
