The Beninese government has appointed the five members of the new board of directors of the National Road Safety Center (CNSR). The decree published on Wednesday, November 4, 2025, names Roch Célestin Houndjè as chair of the board.

The term of these members is set at three years, renewable, starting from the date they take office.

The CNSR plays a central role in the national road safety policy, a major issue for Benin where road-traffic mortality remains concerning.

This renewal aims to strengthen the institution’s governance, better coordinate the ministries involved, and bolster prevention and enforcement actions.

Roch Célestin Houndjè will serve as the representative of the Ministry of Living Environment and Transport.
