Benin – Pharmaceutical product trafficking: a network dismantled in Sirarou
A joint operation conducted on Saturday, June 28, 2025, by the Sirarou police station, with the support of the N’dali and Ouénou police stations, led to the dismantling of several counterfeit drug sales points in a ghetto located behind the local butcher shop.

The intervention, targeting three shops, resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of illicit pharmaceutical products. The persons responsible for the sales points were apprehended and will be presented to the Public Prosecutor.
This action is part of the regular operations carried out by the Republican Police across the national territory, with the aim to combat crime, limit the circulation of prohibited substances, and enhance the health security of the population.
