The 8th matchday of Ligue 1 delivered its verdict this weekend with several lively fixtures and an increasingly tight race at the top. SOBEMAP FC temporarily takes the lead, while the Buffles remain lurking after another win.
SOBEMAP on top, Coton and Loto-Popo slowed
By beating ASPAC 2-1, SOBEMAP pulled off the weekend’s best result and climbs to the top of the championship with 20 points. The Buffles, who defeated Hodio (2-1) in Tchaourou, follow just one point behind and confirm their consistency. Behind them, Coton FC, despite their 2-1 win at ASVO, remain third with a game in hand. Loto-Popo, beaten 3-2 by Dadjè in Aplahoué, missed the chance to stay in touch with the leading duo.
In the other matches, Dragons d’Avrankou rediscovered their touch with a solid victory over USS-Kraké (2-0), despite the game being played behind closed doors. Dynamo d’Abomey also confirmed their rise in form with a 1-0 win over Damissa.
