Benin – Ligue 1: Coton FC under pressure, AS SOBEMAP reignites the title race, matchday 27 round-up

The 27th matchday of the Benin Football Championship reshuffled the tables at the top as well as at the bottom, following a weekend full of surprises and confirmations. In the other matches, Hodio FC defeated Dragons FC (2-0), while USS Kraké came out on top of Buffles FC (2-1). Finally, Bani Gansè FC secured a 2-1 victory at JS Pobè’s ground, just as Cavaliers FC earned a 1-0 win over Ayéma FC.

In the standings (subject to ratification), Coton FC remains at the top with 52 points, closely followed by AS SOBEMAP FC (51 pts). Loto-Popo FC completes the podium (47 pts), just ahead of ASPAC FC (46 pts). At the bottom, the situation is getting seriously difficult for Dadjè FC, the bottom team with only 14 points, while Cavaliers FC remains mired in the relegation zone.
