MAJOR DECISIONS OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS OF SEPTEMBER 2, 2026

REGULATORY MEASURES

• Transmission to the National Assembly for authorization to ratify the Republic of Benin’s accession to the Export Development Fund in Africa;
• Transmission to the National Assembly for authorization to ratify the agreement establishing the Shelter Afrique Development Bank;
• Amendment of decree no. 2023-119 of March 29, 2023, establishing, defining the powers, organization, and functioning of the Special Economic Zones Approval Committee;
• Amendment of decree no. 2021-068 of February 17, 2021, defining the powers, composition, organization, and functioning of the Interministerial Investment Promotion Committee;
• Amendment of decree no. 2018-165 of May 2, 2018, defining the powers, composition, and operating procedures of the Public-Private Partnership Support Unit in the Republic of Benin;
• Appointment of auditors to certain public enterprises

COMMUNICATIONS

• Special measures for the inclusion of persons with disabilities;
• Social measures for the benefit of the three levels of education for the 2026-2027 school and university year;
• Implementation of the pilot phase of the Agricultural Productivity and Social Protection Program for Benin’s farmers;
