The Beninese press is mourning again. Christophe Djossou, founder and promoter of the online media Kingo News, has passed away. The announcement was made on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025.
“We have lost Christophe,” his wife confided, in tears, confirming the sad news that has shaken the national press.
Known for his commitment and professionalism, Christophe Djossou distinguished himself in recent years with his notable contributions to digital information in Benin. Through Kingo News, he allowed new voices to be heard and diversified the sources of information for the general public.
The circumstances of his death have not been specified at the time of the announcement. However, a year ago he had announced that he was battling kidney failure.
