Benin: He dies while chasing his own sheep

A young man tragically lost his life while chasing after his own sheep on Monday, June 30, 2025, in Setto, a locality in the commune of Djidja.

According to initial reports, the victim, who had just purchased a sheep, began pursuing it when it escaped. During the chase, the young man accidentally fell into a waterway.

Local residents, who were alerted, tried to rescue him, but sadly he was recovered lifeless. The incident unfolded in broad daylight in the locality of Setto, and shocked witnesses reported that the young man was known for his vitality as an artist and merchant.
