Benin: Fanicko celebrates his 10 years of career with a concert in Cotonou on 19 September

The event is part of the official program of the French Institute of Benin, which will open its 2026-2027 cultural season with this evening. The concert is scheduled for 20h30, with tickets priced at 5 000 FCFA for the public and 1 000 FCFA for members.

For this anniversary date, Fanicko will revisit the songs that have marked his journey and offer a show designed as a moment of celebration, emotion, and sharing with his audience. The French Institute presents the event as an exceptional concert around a now well-established figure of the Beninese music scene.

The date comes at a busy time for the artist, who is regularly present at the country’s major cultural events. In October 2025, Steve Mounié had publicly called on Fanicko to imagine an anthem around the Guépards. Over the years, Fanicko has also built an audience beyond Benin thanks to urban music blending Afro, pop, and Francophone sounds.
