A fire broke out in a rental house in Cocotomey, near the Aglouza intersection, on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
Panic swept through the Cocotomey neighborhood on Thursday afternoon, August 28, 2025, when a fire started in one of the rooms of a rental house. Inside, a mother and her six children experienced moments of panic before managing to get out safe and sound.
Alerted, nearby residents tried in vain to contain the flames before the firefighters arrived. The fire, particularly intense, consumed the bedroom, leaving considerable damage behind.
According to the firefighters, the kitchen, where there was a gas cylinder, was fortunately not affected. However, the exact cause of the blaze is still undetermined.
Although there were no fatalities, the affected family now has to cope with the loss of a large part of their belongings. The shock is all the greater for the mother, who will have to rebuild with her children after this traumatic event.
