The Autonomous National Electoral Commission (CENA) is leaving its former headquarters for the premises of the former INFOSEC in Cotonou. This relocation is driven by significant urban development works in the economic capital of Benin;
Now located near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and the Office de Radiodiffusion et Télévision du Bénin (ORTB), CENA says it will continue its activities without interruption. The institution reassures that all services remain operational. It guarantees the continuity of electoral operations and the availability of services for political parties, electoral actors and users.
This move is part of an effort to adapt and modernize. By moving into the former INFOSEC, CENA benefits from space better suited to current administrative requirements and to its tasks of preparing, coordinating and supervising elections.
The initiative also responds to the urbanization needs underway in Cotonou, while allowing the institution to strengthen its operational efficiency. In this new setting, CENA intends to continue its commitment to free, credible and peaceful elections, in line with its mission.
