After eight days in police custody, Natou Pedro Sakombi, the former partner of activist Kemi Séba, was presented this Friday, December 26, 2025, to the Special Prosecutor at the Court for the Repression of Economic Offences and Terrorism.

According to her lawyer, Me Cire Clédor Ly, registered with the Dakar Bar, three charges are brought against his client. They are money laundering, smuggling, and tax fraud.
But following the hearing before the Special Prosecutor of the Court for the Repression of Economic Offences and Terrorism, she was released and placed under summons.
It should be noted that the defense vigorously challenged the regularity of the procedure. Me Cire Clédor Ly claims to have raised the nullity of all acts carried out so far, citing grave infringements of his client’s rights.
According to him, some international rules as well as fundamental principles relating to human rights would not have been respected during the police custody.
Arrested on Monday, December 22, 2025, Natou Pedro Sakombi leaves police custody and remains at the disposal of the justice.
