Benin: A robber neutralized in Parakou, an accomplice arrested
On the night of Tuesday, July 15, 2025, an operation carried out by officers from the first district police station in Parakou succeeded in neutralizing a suspected robber, who was reportedly involved in an armed robbery in the Bèyèrou neighborhood.

Alerted around 10 pm, the law enforcement officers, supported by local hunters, organized a quick and coordinated hunt. The result: one criminal neutralized, an accomplice seriously injured and arrested, while a third suspect escaped, taking a motorcycle that was later returned to the injured man’s wife.
An investigation is underway to apprehend the fugitive and shed light on all aspects of this case. This operation is part of the efforts to enhance the security of people and property in the Borgou department.
