A fatal accident occurred on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the Sodohomè intersection in Bohicon.
A young mother carrying her baby on her back was run over by a truck. She died at the scene. The child was found alive, with no apparent injuries, which caused strong emotion among witnesses.
According to initial accounts gathered at the scene, the collision appears to be linked to a large hole left in the middle of the roadway on the Bohicon–Covè route.
The infant was taken to the police station to be cared for. Another child involved in the accident was urgently transferred to CHD Zou de Goho.
La Police républicaine carried out the usual assessments. Local authorities then mobilized masons to fill the hole and secure this very busy crossing. The aim is to prevent such a tragedy from happening again, L’Investigateur reports.
