Benin – 2026 Presidential Election: Romuald Wadagni and Paul Hounkpè expected at the Constitutional Court

The two candidate duos selected for the April 2026 presidential election in Benin are expected this Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Constitutional Court.

They are the duos Romuald Wadagni – Mariam Chabi Talata for the presidential movement, and Paul Hounkpè – Judicaël Hounwanou for the moderate opposition.

The holders of the two tickets, along with their running mates, will take part in a tripartite meeting with the Court and the medical team responsible for the preliminary medical examination prior to the final validation of their candidacy.
