Formidable in the Clasicos, FC Barcelona winger Raphinha has matched Cristiano Ronaldo’s tally of victories against Real Madrid, confirming his decisive influence in big matches.

The FC Barcelona winger, Raphinha, shone again against Real Madrid by equalling a symbolic record of Cristiano Ronaldo, following Barça’s victory in the last Clasico. The former Portuguese forward, an iconic figure of the Merengues, has long understood the difficulty of these encounters against Barça. In 30 Clasicos played under the Madrid shirt, Cristiano Ronaldo had only eight wins, despite an impressive total of 18 goals scored against the Catalan rival.

Raphinha, for his part, shows a clearly higher success rate. In only twelve clashes against Real Madrid, the Brazilian international already has eight wins, complemented by seven goals and three assists. A formidable efficiency that confirms his impact in big matches.

Signed in 2022 for 58 million euros from Leeds United, after turning down offers from Chelsea and Arsenal, Raphinha seems particularly inspired against the Merengues. He has thus scored five goals and provided an assist in the four most recent Clasicos, including a double in the Spanish Super Cup final held recently in Saudi Arabia. The Brazilian could surpass this record as early as this season, on the occasion of the next La Liga Clasico, scheduled at Camp Nou in May.
