Arsenal: John Terry warns William Saliba after Ezri Konsa’s arrival

Chelsea legend John Terry believes William Saliba could struggle to win back a starting place at Arsenal after the arrival of Ezri Konsa. The former England centre-back thinks the signing of Konsa from Aston Villa could shake up the hierarchy in the Gunners’ defence. During an appearance on FC Bullard’s TikTok channel, Terry also praised the arrival of the 28-year-old defender, whom he sees as a top-class addition for Arsenal. In his view, Konsa should quickly establish himself alongside Gabriel at the heart of the London defence.

The former Chelsea captain also spoke enthusiastically about the qualities of his former Aston Villa teammate. He highlighted his pace and aggression in duels, two assets that could prove valuable in Mikel Arteta’s system. That arrival could therefore reshuffle the deck in Arsenal’s central defence. William Saliba, who has been considered for several seasons as one of the mainstays of the back line, may have to wait before reclaiming his place in the starting eleven.
