The event features a selection of independent brands gathered in one space, offering clothing, jewelry, bags, and accessories for sale. Attendees can meet the creators directly, try on certain pieces, and, depending on the brands, order custom designs.

Among the announced brands are Imani Line, Gbenga Artsmith, Dexy Creation, Ornoir Crochet, Beads by Naya, and Bibire International. The program highlights signatures from contemporary Black creation, placing significant emphasis on artisanal craftsmanship and small series.

The pop-up is part of ANKA’s strategy, a platform built around the Afrikrea marketplace, which specializes in the sale, payment, and shipping of products made in Africa. The company reports working with thousands of shops across several dozen African countries.

In New York, the appeal of the format also lies in the physical interaction. Pieces typically discovered online can be seen, touched, and tried on before purchase, while designers have a showcase at a time when the city attracts buyers, stylists, journalists, and fashion enthusiasts.

Access to the pop-up is free with registration. Organizers plan daily opening hours from noon to 7:00 pm local time, in the heart of Herald Square, just minutes from the main Fashion Week events.

The selection remains open until September 13, with some visitors having the option to leave with their purchases or place orders with the attending creators.
