Determined to finish the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations on a positive note after their semifinal defeat, Egypt approaches the third-place match against Nigeria with the clear ambition of stepping onto the podium, said their coach Hossam Hassan on Friday in a pre-match press conference.
Egypt’s coach, Hossam Hassan, displayed his players’ determination to go after the third place in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Beaten 1-0 by Senegal in the semi-finals, the Pharaohs meet the Super Eagles of Nigeria this Saturday at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, for the bronze medal match. The match is scheduled for 5:00 PM (GMT+1).
Wanting to conclude its campaign on a positive note, the Egyptian selection presents itself with ambition against the Nigerians. In a pre-match press conference, Hossam Hassan did not hide his intentions. “Egypt has an immense trophy cabinet with seven African titles, and we approach this match against Nigeria with the sole objective of winning,” said the coach. “We will fight for the victory in order to climb onto the podium and to finish this CAN in the best possible way,” insisted the Egyptian coach. See you tomorrow for the verdict!
