2026 World Cup: Senegal will face Argentina in a friendly
Senegal will play several friendly matches, notably against Lionel Messi’s Argentina, as part of the preparations for the 2026 World Cup, the country’s football federation announced.
Seeking its second continental title, Senegal is actively preparing for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which opens in a few days in Morocco. At the same time, the Teranga Lions are also gearing up for the 2026 World Cup. Drawn into Group I, Sadio Mané’s side will notably face Kylian Mbappé’s France and Erling Haaland’s Norway. And to achieve this goal, the Senegalese Football Federation is already negotiating friendly matches to better prepare its team.
