The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations officially took shape this Thursday in Rabat, following the draw organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). In the presence of Patrice Motsepe, CAF president, and the delegations of the qualified nations, the ceremony kicked off the countdown to a highly anticipated edition, which will be played in Morocco with 16 teams in the running.
As host nation, Morocco inherits a strong Group A, with Algeria, Senegal, and Kenya, promising intense clashes right from the start. Ten-time African champions, Nigeria will be in Group C, where it will be joined by Zambia, Egypt, and Malawi, a newcomer at this level. South Africa, the title holder, is in Group B alongside Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Tanzania. Finally, Group D brings together Ghana, Cameroon, Mali, and Cape Verde.
