This step represents an important milestone in the logistical preparation for the double ballot, which promises to be decisive for the country’s political life.
The handover ceremony took place in the presence of members of the CENA, the technical teams responsible for electoral logistics, as well as representatives of technical and financial partners.
Several batches of equipment were handed over to the electoral institution, notably ballot boxes, voting booths, ballot papers, registration kits and training materials for election officials.
The president of the CENA explained that this equipment is distributed according to a deployment plan carefully drawn up to cover the twenty-four electoral constituencies of the country. They will be used to equip polling centers, ensure voter registration and guarantee the transparency of operations on election day.
The operation comes about one month before the official opening of the media campaign.
Members of the CENA reiterated the importance of this logistical step for the smooth running of the process. They emphasized that the actual distribution of all equipment to local branches will begin in the coming days, in order to allow calm and effective preparation of polling stations.
